Possibility of Getting HOV Carpool Lane Stickers For Hybrid Cars In California
Hard to believe. The DMV sez they're self destroying like starter solenoid , if/when you try
and remove them. Just tried to put a pin hole in one to remove an air
bubble, and it wasn't a pretty sight.
The 85,000 sticker limit applies only to approved hybrids (the Civic and Prius), and the last of those stickers was issued in February, 2007. The Civic GX is a natural gas vehicle. It qualifies for a white carpool sticker (rather than the common yellow sticker that identifies the hybrids) and there are no limits on those.
Car Glass Replacement

Sorry, but the CA Air Resources Board released 10,000 more decals Jan. 1 (and there were 5,000 people on the waiting list when I called in October). I believe they are all long gone at this point and I haven't heard anything about any future releases, but you might want put a call into CARB (800-242-4450)to confirm.

Hello,
I just recently purchased a new Toyota Prius and was wondering what is the truth regarding getting an HOV Carpool lane sticker in California? I've heard that the full allotment are all gone now, but then I've seen some indication that there are actually another batch available. Is it still worth pursuing? I understand that a used Toyota Prius with these stickers can sell for $4K over what the car is actually worth.
