Washington, DC Green Festival Celebrates What’s Working in our Communities

The 'Sonoma House' is a gorgeous, barn-style, 1200sqft granny home with a modern interior that is healthier, more energy efficient, and better for the environement!  Additional environmental products featured with the home are: reclaimed local wood installed for floors, PV solar system, rainwater catchment system, built in recycling system, ICF foundation forms, smart vents, cool metal roof (as seen in example photo), lime plaster, and more!

I guess I'm one of the few people who doesn't like fireworks. They are loud and make a lot of pollution. With the 4th of July time of year we should think about what we are doing.

Almost all fireworks are still based on gunpower technology. They can be dangerous and pollute our air and water for a few minutes of color and noise. Some of the many cancer causing pollutatants they cause are cadmium, lithium, antimony, rubidium, stonium , lead and potasium nitrate.
