Finding a "green" architech9did I spell that wrong?)

caymandj

I would like to build a new home, green and all.  I have some ideas I would like to use.  How do I find a "green" architech to help.  I love Earthships but I live in Florida and cannot find anything spec for our area/soil and rain.

A  while back some effort was invested to design all steel buildings and pre cut all components in a factory. This would reduce waste dramatically and speed up construction.  Delivery to the site would require one flatbed, and the building could be recycled.

This type of assembly line would reduce construction costs but would have initial costs to set up the factory.   Steel buildings come in all shapes and sizes - look just like wooden buildings - and resist tornadoes.  I'm sure someone can build one for you.

check this website for existing green homes. That can be green by recycling an existing home. They may also give you ideas or builders work you can see in case you decide to build from scatch.
