Burt's Bees bought by Chlorox for $925 Million
There is another company, who has been around since 1956. They do not animal test, many of their supplements are vegan, (with a clear list of which products are not vegan and why) and they are non-toxic. If you are interested you can check out my web site, and I would be happy to answer your questions about their products.
didn't mean to make this a commerical, but their skin care line has my face looking like I spend a zillion dollars a day on it, which I don't! I'm an ex smoker.
Robin
What's wrong with animal testing? If my cat won't eat the chicken from my fridge I throw it out.
And- Just think of all the good things Burt can do with the money he has taken from those nasty people. If you find a replacement product please let us know. My wife is allergic to almost everything, and what she isn't allergic to one week she is the next.
I would suggest Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps line of lip balms, body balms and lotions. This famous soap company now has body care products that are not only organic and fair trade, but does absolutely no animal testing. Check out www.drbronner.com

Have you found a replacement? I have been looking to switch my skin care to a natural, eco-friendly line. I had decided on Burts Bees...but maybe not?

I was dismayed to find out that in December of 2007, Chlorox did indeed buy Burt's Bees and all of its wonderful skincare products. I've been using Burt's bees for years and love the way they are so green-concious in so many areas of their business. They try their best to make their products with such good ingredients that they are edible. They try to make all the packaging they use recyclable. I loved this company! But must reconsider...
I can't hang with supporting a parent company (Chlorox) that does animal testing. I sent them an email asking them about it and they responded with a cut and paste that never even mentioned the animal testing. I wrote back asking again and never received a response. Accepted alternatives exist for animal testing - it is not necessary. Here is more information. Anyone have a suggestion for another good skin care line?
